Geoffroy de Myttenaere is the CEO a.i. of 50°North Ventures.
Before joining 50°North Ventures, Geoffroy has been the Group CFO of Lhoist, a 2.5bn Euros leader in lime and limestone and he has been a Partner at McKinsey & Company.
Geoffroy holds a Master’s Degree in Business Engineering from Solvay Business School (ULB) and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institue of Technology (MIT)
Thibaut reinforced the 50°North Ventures team in 2021, and leads as Chief Operating Officer. He holds 15 years of experience across venture capital and asset management sectors.
Prior to leading 50°North, he was investment officer at a Belgian single-family office that focused on primary and secondary transactions in venture capital, covering Europe and India. He gained years of experience with institutional investors at BNP and AXA, too, where he left as Deputy Head of the Group Investment Solution.
Thibaut holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics Engineering from UCLouvain.
Over the last 20 years, Cecile executed operational support in companies as Emakina, Ghelamco, & Caroll Belgium as a complementary independent projet.She has been working for EEBIC since 15 years and is the Business Operations Manager of 50° NORTH VENTURES.
She contributes at the whole team by executing the operations in several departments to keep things running smoothly, to improve the quality of work for her colleagues, whilst contributing to success of the company.
She also has been working in many different countries and speaks fluently 4 languages.
Olivier provides over 20 years of experience in venture capital and financing structures. Deeply committed to innovation and entrepreneurship, Olivier has dedicated his career to improving access to venture capital in Belgium. Since 2020, he has led the 50°N team in Montreal.
Olivier is the founder of EEBIC Venture, an investment platform with more than €80 million under management. He is the founder of the Theodorus funds, where he has served as Managing Director since 2003.
Olivier holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).
Adrien is a Principal operating from Belgium, and joined Theodorus in 2018 to help support portfolio companies with their strategic visions.
He has previously built up expertise in strategy and deal structuring respectively at the Boston Consulting Group and Lazard.
He holds a degree in Business Engineering from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and the National University of Singapore.
Alexandre, Principal, joined the Belgian office of Theodorus in 2020 to drive the life sciences investments and portfolio development in Europe. He has previously gained expertise in the execution of licensing and divestments deals while working for pharmaceutical multinationals in Europe and Latin America.
He is a Doctor in Pharmacy and holds an MSc in Strategic Management from HEC Paris.
Aloïs joined the Belgian office of Theodorus in 2021 as investment associate to support portfolio companies and new investment opportunities. He has previously gained expertise in investment at D’Ieteren Group.
In addition to his functions at Theodorus, Aloïs leads the ESG strategy of 50°North Ventures. He holds a master degree from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and from the Qtem Network.
Lotfi, partner at Theordorus, has deep expertise in innovation strategy, M&A and M&S in the pharmaceuticals and medical devices industry.
He joined Theodorus in 2017, and was previously manager at McKinsey & Company from 2012 to 2017.
Lotfi holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace and Business Engineering from Supaero - ISAE (France).
Théo is a Principal operating from Quebec who joined Theodorus in 2018 to help with the screening, assessment, and execution of investment opportunities. He has previously grown his expertise in strategy and due diligence for private equity and industrial clients at Roland Berger.
Théo has lead several transactions for Theodorus in Europe and in Canada and seats at the board of several life sciences & deep tech companies: Calyos, Kaspard, Icentia, Classcraft, DrugBank and Domain Therapeutics.
He holds a dual Master’s Degree in Finance & in Quantitative Techniques (QTEM) from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
Patricia is a Principal operating from Quebec with more than 10 years of expertise in business development in life sciences. She was previously Director of Scientiic Affairs and Manager at the Accelerator Program at adMare BioInnovations where she was helping researchers and entrepreneurs to commercialize their life sciences innovations.
Before joining adMare, Patricia worked at the Atomic Energy Commission in France as a Technology Transfer Officer. She then acted as Project Director, Life Sciences at Univalor, the technology transfer organization of Université de Montréal.
Patricia holds a Ph.D. in Cellular Biology from Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and a Professional Master in Innovation and Commercialization of Research from Université Paris Sud.
David, a partner at Seeder Fund, has a series of professional experiences that are invaluable to both the fund and our entrepreneurs.
As founder of Opendeal, he experienced the various evolutionary phases and pain points of a start-up that was eventually sold to eBay.
As co-founder of the Sherpa 1 & 2 funds, he has a wealth of experience as a venture capitalist. In addition, he worked for several years as the head of the Business Angels network, which provides financing to a large variety of companies.
Eric's experience is highly diverse with a variety of critical positions he has held in Belgium and beyond.
As an entrepreneur (he is the founder of six companies in turnkey industrial construction, procurement, consultancy and investment), entrepreneurial coach, manager of an investment fund and Director of public and private companies, in various sectors (energy, health care, environment, agricultural industry, real estate, finance and government), his breadth of expertise has proven hugely beneficial to the team.
Beside an entrepreneur experience (owner of Grains Noirs and Potiez-Deman), Igor is in charge of the legal matters of the Seeder Fund. In addition to this, he spent several years focusing on mergers and acquisitions (GoNext), which specializes in corporate finance for SMEs.
Pierre-François is part of the Seeder Fund’s team since 2017. His focus is to find the best entrepreneurs and partner with them as from their very early stage. Prior to that, Pierre-François joined the founding team of a digital startup active in the energy sector. Pierre-François holds a MS degree in Business Engineering from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
Benjamin is a serial entrepreneur. In 2012, at the age of 25, he founded Bubble Post, which was later bought by BPost in 2016.
Since the acquisition, Benjamin has devoted his time and resources to investing in start-up projects and helping start-up entrepreneurs at Seeder Fund.
Benjamin was Chairman of Young-VOKA, Member of the Board of several start-ups and winner of the Belgian Entrepreneurship Awards.
Mika is an associate operating from Québec, with 14 years of research experience related to medicinal chemistry and drug development. She was previously Operations Director for Life Science biotechs located in the USA. Within that role, she participated in the creation of University spin offs, as well as led small molecule and biologics development programs for indications in oncology, respiratory diseases, bacterial infection, cardiovascular diseases, obesity , Interstitial lung diseases, ocular diseases and cystic fibrosis.
Prior to her operational role, Mika was responsible for guiding investment decisions on behalf of BioMotiv LC, a USA-based evergreen fund dedicated to accelerating breakthrough discoveries into medicines.
Mika was previously a medicinal chemist at Zamboni chemical solutions, working on drug development programs for Amgen and Vertex pharmaceuticals. She completed her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Université du Québec à Montréal and her MBA at l'École des Sciences de la gestion de l'Université du Québec à Montréal.
